Beth By The Pepper Patch

Further evidence that our wonderful little girl is growing up fast! Today was the day that she did a full scale roll! Not long now until the roll becomes a crawl and the crawl becomes a walk! She is almost 5 months old now and wants to be older in some ways! Food is also a thing that is about to change! The plan is to begin to wean her onto a few solids this weekend, so that should be fun and great that Daddy can be involved in feeding to! She continues to sleep well at night and provide very little hassle to us both! We are loving her and the whole experience so much!

The Irresistible Revolution is the title of a book by Shane Claiborne that is currently getting a lot of attention, readers, critique, excitement and debate going. Shane is one of the founders of a movement called The Simple Way who's mission is simply "To Love God. To Love people. To Follow Jesus." Its finally in my hands and I intend to give it a good reading over the next week or two!

In addition to this article he has also written a piece regarding the reduction of carbon emissions and the necessity of it for the UK to reach a very high reduction figure by 2030.

The Truth Isn't Sexy

Truth Isn't Sexy is a new campaign and website aimed at tackling Human Trafficking. Protest4, which grew out of a few em:church communities in London has launched this as its first anti-trafficking campaign in the UK. Human trafficking is dubbed as the human rights crisis of the 21st century. The campaign is aiming to launch by the 25th March which represents the 200th anniversary of the abolition of the slave-trade (or so it was thought). Now with 3 times more people in slavery today, the onus is upon us all to do it over again.
